Check out this years venue: State Room!

The first time stepping foot off the elevator of the 33rd floor at 60 State St. I knew “this place is to good to be true”. “You must be Bryan for the Catwalk for a Cure meeting” the secretary said. I was shocked that they knew exactly who I was and what I was there for. I was then escorted to a meeting room and immediately offered a beverage. “This place is to good to be true”, I said again in my head.

After meeting with Michelle Sagi, Senior Sales Manager at State Room and taking the grand tour, I knew I had reached the “mecca” of any event space in Boston. It was love at first sight. Michelle said that State Room and its owners are very philanthropic and were excited to take on this project.

Catwalk for a Cure starts at 7pm in their “Harborside” room which overlooks Boston Harbor, Faneuil Hall, and the rest of Boston’s majestic city from 33 stories high. The decor is very modern with dark, hard wood floors, large windows, and a futuristic style ceiling.

We then move into the “Grand Room” which gives the same stunning view and feeling.  Besides the floor to ceiling windows and modern architecture, this room also has a mezzanine where the “Post-Fashion Show” cocktails and desserts will be.   The ceilings seem a mile high as well as the length of the space.  Where the photo above has the white up-lighting on the columns, Catwalk will be sure to have the room lit up in pink!

“Longwood Events’ flagship venue, State Room, is an urban event space offering breathtaking views of the harbor and city. Located atop Sixty State Street, this chic and modern venue offers a genuine sense of being on top of the world. It is ideal for wedding receptions, corporate events and fundraising grand galas. It is the only independently-owned special event venue that accommodates more than 850 guests in downtown Boston.”

Be sure to check out their menu.  Chef David Blessing and his team do an amazing job!
